V2M programme holds training for goat farmers

A training programme to educate goat farmers in the Thevipuram A region on activities from the construction of goat sheds up to the Code of Animal Production and Health to passing on of an offspring their goats give birth to another family in the village, to encourage goat farming activities with the village. The event was held on 13th August, 2020 in the Thevipuram A village in Mullaitivu.

The event was joined by the Puthiya Pathan CLA in order to provide clarifications and information regarding the project implementation process that will be taking place with the support of local organization Yougashakthi Women’s Federation.

The training was conducted under the Village to Market programme being implemented by SLCDF with funding from Palmera Projects Australia. The training also provided the opportunity to define the roles and responsibilities of all involved stakeholders of the project from the project officers and local organizations to end beneficiaries.
