“Strengthening civil society Networks to contribute to poverty reduction and sustainable development”

Diakonia Sri Lanka partnering with SLCDF to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in the country, to become active participants in developing and implementing poverty reduction and sustainable development.
The proposed initiatives spur local NGOs to become more visioning and strategic in addressing common issues through alliances with government, local authorities, corporate sector and other national and international NGOs.
Supporting to prepare Participatory Integrated District Development Programme (PIDDP) is one key intervention of this programme, which is a collective NGO effort within a district. The first national level programme on preparing PIDDP will be held on 3rd March 2016 with representation of the 6 selected districts, initially, namely Jaffna, Batticaloa, Ampara, Galle, Kurunegala and Kegalle .
