One day workshop was held on 27th August, 2020 at Galle Jetwing Light House. This workshop was conducted under the National Languages Equality Advancement Project funded by National Languages Fund. Mr. Don Brownell- Director of NLEAP shared his thoughts on the impact of good reporting, networking and communication and Mrs. S. Thevidendiram – Additional Secretary (National Languages Fund) Ministry of Public Service, Provincial Councils and Local Government shared her remarks on this networking session. Mr. Sunil Ganewatte- Secretary of the Galle DC and Mr.J.K Kaluarachchi from Matara DC attended as representatives for project “To establish the civil society structure for the official language policy” being implemented by SLCDF.
– The National Languages Equality Advancement Project (NLEAP) is supported by the Government of Canada and implemented by Alinea International, and is designed in response to the goal of the Government of Sri Lanka to protect and promote the language rights of all its citizens.
