The project “Integrating Entrepreneurship in Community Development” was initiated after the signing of the agreement with DIAKONIA in August 2019. It is being implemented in 3 countries including Sri Lanka, Thailand and Bangladesh with the objective of integrating entrepreneurship into the community through a custom developed entrepreneurship toolkit developed through the project. CEFE-NET is currently conducting consultancy services along with the assistance of the Sri Lankan partners to develop the entrepreneurship toolkit.
Moreover, situation assessments will be conducted within all 3 countries where the project is being implemented in. The process has already begun in Sri Lanka and it will be executed in Thailand and Bangladesh by December 2019.
A partners meeting will be held on the 20th of November at SLCDF Head Office to discuss the project progress. The event will be joined by DIAKONIA Colombo and the 3 Sri Lankan project partners Sri Lanka Centre for Development Facilitation (SLCDF), Women Development Centre (WDC) – Kandy and Muslim Women’s Research Action Forum (MWRAF).
By April 2020, programmes for Training of Trainers will be initiated in Sri Lanka, where the participants will be taught the entrepreneurship toolkit developed through the project.
Towards the conclusion of the project a “Lessons Learned” workshop will be conducted in December 2020 where the partners will use a combination of tried and tested approaches and new innovations based upon their collective experiences and lessons from other agencies and projects.
