Code of Conduct process moving forward despite the COVID 19 Pandemic

A One-day Online Orientation Workshop for 20 large NGOs, CSO representatives, Activists and Experts was held from the office of SLCDF in Colombo on December 15, 2020 with an inaugural remarks by Mr. Tissa Wijetunga Executive Director of Sri Lanka Centre for Development Facilitation and facilitated by Mr. Lakshman Malawathanthrige, Consultant.

This meeting was specifically organized to increase awareness among NGOS, donors, national and   district level CSOs, about the Code of Conduct developed by SLCDF and NNAF through an extensive consultation process that involved the NGO community under the IDEA/MSI SPIDER project that aimed at enhancing performance of CSOs through adoption of a Code of Conduct (CoC) to its full potential that helps fostering self-regulation and promoting networking.

SLCDF would organize another similar meeting for the UN/INGO and Donor community in early January 2021 to gather their thoughts and inputs.  This meeting was originally planned to be held the basis of one on one, however due to the pandemic this meeting will be conducted online.
