GEF Eco Centre Opening

Meeting at the Eco Centre

Eco Resource Centre in Deltota renovated with the assistance from UNDP/GEF/SGP, was vested on the public on 29th October 2016, and this Centre will be utilized for community events by all three ethnic groups in Deltota.

Consultant Dr. B.V.R. Punyawardena made a visit to this Eco Resource Centre and met with a group of “Gami Pubuduwa” and “Alfaila” CBO members from Karagaskada and Piyasenapura, villages.

The community has set up a small scale library for school children at the Centre. It will also be used to hold medical clinics for pregnant mothers and children.
